Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Muddy Paths was founded and is led by Lucy Reddin, a registered Social Worker with Social Work England and Social Care Wales. Lucy brings over a decade of experience working in both safeguarding and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). She holds a Master’s degree in Social Care and is a highly trained therapist specialising in mental health support for children, adolescents, and families.
At Muddy Paths, we offer more than just therapy — we provide a safe, structured space where young people can explore their experiences, emotions, and goals. Every individual receives a robust care and safety plan tailored to their specific needs and risks. Whether you’re looking for in-depth therapeutic support or simply a place to talk and be heard, we’re here for you.
Our therapeutic approach is holistic and systemic, carefully considering the many social, emotional, and environmental factors that may be affecting your life. We recognise and respect each person’s unique identity, neurodiversity, and lived experience, always placing your voice and values at the centre of our work.
At Muddy Paths, we aim to support you in rebuilding a version of yourself that feels safe, confident, and empowered — one that can thrive not just in the present, but far into the future.

Our Story
At the heart of Muddy Paths is a team of dedicated and experienced professionals committed to delivering outstanding care. We believe every setback can become a stepping stone to growth and empowerment. Through our approach, young people learn that their past does not define their future — and that they have the power to shape a positive, meaningful life.
Each young person receives a comprehensive mental health and social care assessment, delivered by qualified professionals. From this, we co-create a therapeutic plan that reflects their unique needs, wishes, and goals. When appropriate, we also offer signposting and guidance to ensure every young person finds the right path for them.
Our practice draws from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Positive Behaviour Support (PERMA model), the CMM systems tool, and relational therapies informed by CBT and DBT. Every intervention is chosen to amplify the young person’s voice and ensure they remain the golden thread throughout their journey of healing and growth.
